Looking for a hands-on bid manager with extensive demonstrable experience to support the global bid management function in efforts to develop RFx response packages from the pre-RFx release until the final and post submission stage. This role requires the ability to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and professional communications skills to interact and influence effectively team members at various organizational levels.
Manage, coordinate, organize, develop and submit timely RFx response packages according to established internal guidelines.
Analyze RFx documentation to understand key and detailed requirements to breakdown components and support in the development of proposal outline for master documents.
Interpret customer instructions carefully to position Mavenir how best to articulate responses.
Encourage and guide the team to focus on the content development of assigned sections.
Assist proposal writers in creating ad hoc RFx responses to their assigned topics.
Develop bid management plan/schedule and conduct ongoing progress status meetings to ensure internal governance and customer instructions are adhered before the submission deadlines.
Research and draft non-technical proposal sections as assigned (e.g., management, past performance).
Write, edit and proofread proposal content in the database library.
Review all proposal sections to ensure the drafts meet all requirements.
Format and edit technical and business proposal documents, coordinate team draft inputs and conduct reviews.
Compile/produce compliant and professionally produced proposals and perform final quality review on assigned projects.
Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done as a team player and at times work under pressure.
Ensure all proposal materials are properly stored according to internal guidelines.
Comply with established mandatory proposal preparation internal best practices guidelines.
Other bid management duties as assigned.
More than 8 years of hands-on practical experience in bid management function, proposal writing, creating and managing to RFx within the Telecom industry.
Understanding and experience in knowledge management platforms and proposal automation tools.
Highly organized professional with strong time management ability to work against challenging deadlines.
Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously balancing effort based on the priority of projects.
Strong ability to write and edit compelling and persuasive value propositions.
Team player with exceptional verbal communication skills to interact and influence team members effectively.
Detail-oriented individual with the ability to independently identify, research and resolve issues.
Advanced Microsoft suite user; experienced in working on complex spreadsheets and MS Word style guides.
Microsoft SharePoint experience and understanding of CRM and/or Salesforce.
Undergraduate degree preferable in Technical fields.
Formal training in proposal development/management techniques (e.g. Shipley Associates, APMP).
